This course is designed to be a practical study into the management of a multi-platform database work environment. Though the focus will be on the Oracle platform, the content will be discussed in a platform generic way to allow practical application to SQL Server, MySQL and PostgreSQL environments. Part I of the course focusses on the essentials of the SQL language as it is applied to a variety of database platforms. If you work in a multi-platform environment, this course will provide you with a comprehensive overview of the SQL language as it is defined by the ANSI standard.
